Clean Slate Farm

Located in the southern hills of central New York, Clean Slate Farm is a small farm. They grow organic produce, have a few chickens, two dogs, and two cats.

Clean Slate Farm began in spirit 45 years ago and in reality in 2009 when the family moved to find a more peaceful lifestyle, bringing their horse Tess along with them. Dave trained at The Culinary Institute of America and graduated in 2004. He has worked in fine dining either in the kitchen or managing restaurants since. Joanne was the Director of the WISE Women’s Business Center in Syracuse for ten years helping women start and grow their businesses. Prior to that, both owned and operated an international Marketing and Design firm. We always gravitated to food with clients like The Stilton Cheesemakers Association, Parmigiano Reggiano, and The Culinary Institute of America.

At Clean Slate Farm they eat with an eye toward fresh foods and grow a wide selection of tomatoes, peppers, garlic, beans, lettuce, and other greens. Herbs are a growing part of their organic gardens. And there are always the honey bees who provide us with incredibly sweet honey every year.

This love of wonderful ingredients led them to start the Clean Slate Farm line of blended balsamic vinegar in four flavors, their signature spice blend, and with the beeswax as a base, a hand cream that soothes even the roughest of dried hands after a day in the gardens.

Their love of great, fresh, and flavorful food extends to sharing our discoveries and hand-made products with people like you. Enjoy their creations and eat healthy!
