Picture this, it’s 1920, Syracuse has been “dry” for only a little while… Prohibition has rocked our city and will continue to do so for several years… Enter, M. Speach Candy Company. I know, I know – we didn’t serve alcohol. But I cannot help picturing my great-grandfather having something to say about giving the people back a bit of joy and indulgence. I mean he was Italian. He had to enjoy his wine!
We strive every day to keep that spirit of treating yourself alive and well – lose yourself in something nostalgic, honor your sweet and salty cravings, find the whimsy of your inner child. Take a moment of joy! We’ve poured our blood, sweat, and tears into this business (don’t worry, not in the candy). We believe in family tradition, but also exalt in the spirit of innovation and trying something a little outside of the box.
Our selection ranges from traditional and old-fashioned to new and innovative.
