Taste NY is the official Eat-local Drink-local program for New York State. Taste NY highlights the quality, diversity, and economic impact of food and beverages grown, produced, or processed in New York.
About Taste NY Markets, Gift Stores
and Product Displays
Taste NY promotes the importance of supporting local agriculture and creates opportunities for producers to present their goods at retail locations, events, and other high-profile venues throughout the State.
Today, Taste NY can be found in over 70 retail locations and in every region of New York. Taste NY Markets generally offer the widest selection of products and are in each of the State’s eleven Welcome Centers. Taste NY gift stores and product displays can be found in travel and tourism hubs throughout the State, such as in service areas along the NYS Thruway, airports, and train stations.
All products are either grown, produced or processed in New York State and are carefully selected by store operators to reflect unique regional flavors and diverse offerings.
About 20% of New York State’s land area, or close to 7 million acres, is farmland.
About Shop Taste NY
Now, with shoptasteny.com consumers can have local New York products delivered right to their doorstep. Shop Taste NY is a pilot project to connect online shoppers with regional New York State producers.
